Описание: Today, I'm sharing our family's favorite simple Chicken Curry recipe. It’s the one we make on busy weeknights—quick to prepare, light on the stomach, easy to digest, and packed with authentic homestyle flavor. No restaurant-style heavy cream or complex steps, just pure, comforting home cooking.

Ingredients:
(These ingredients are for 1 Kg Chicken. In video, 2 kg chicken has been cooked)

Whole Chicken 1 Kg
Cooking Oil 100 ml
Chopped/Sliced Onion 200 gm
Dry Spices: 2-3 Black cardamom, 5 Cloves, 1 tsp Cumin, 5 Green Cardamom, 2 bay leaves.
Powdered Spices: Coriander Powder 2 tbsp, Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp, Turmeric powder ½ tsp, Cumin Powder ½ tsp, Kashmiri red chili ½ tsp. Make a thin paste of all these powders in some water and keep aside.
Coarsely ground black pepper ¼ tsp
Salt 1 tsp. Adjust as per taste.
Ginger paste 1tbsp and Garlic paste 1 tbsp

Method:
Cooking Pan on flame, add 100 ml cooking oil
Once Oil is moderately hot, add Dry Spices: 2-3 Black cardamom, 5 Cloves, 1 tsp Cumin, 5 Green Cardamom, 2 bay leaves. Sautee for 5 secs.
Add 200 gm of chopped onion and fry till onion is light brown.
Add 1 kg Chicken, mix it. Add 1 tsp Salt and 1 tbsp of Ginger and 1 tbsp Garlic paste. Roast it for 5-7 minutes.
Add Powdered spice paste (Coriander Powder 2 tbsp, Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp, Turmeric powder ½ tsp, Cumin Powder ½ tsp, Kashmiri red chili ½ tsp). Continue to roast it for 2-3 minutes. Spices should start separating from oil.
Add 300-400 ml water. Mix it. Adjust water level depending how much gravy you desire. Mix it. Let it come to a boil and then cook on low medium flame for 15-20 minutes or till the Chicken is soft.
After 20 minutes, remove all whole spices (Bay leaves and cardamom). Discard them.
Sprinkle some coarsely ground black pepper as per your taste.
Ready to serve.
There is no need for any garnishing but if you like you can add chopped Cilantro, green chilies and Ginger Juliennes.
