As we approach local government elections, the community of Evaton has expressed dissatisfaction about the current state of the township.
Evaton, South of Johannesburg is one of the oldest townships.
However, the area is still struggling with the delivery of services.
Electricity, water and sanitation, as well as road infrastructure, are some of the challenges that residents say have worsened in the past five years.
Evaton is run by the Emfuleni Local Municipality, which remains under administration following years of financial woes. Our reporter visited the township and filed this insert.
