A morning drive on narrow country roads. This winter has seen very little snow, but the fjord is frozen and ice keeps creeping towards the road anyway. Drive with caution!
This road leads from E16 to E39, bypassing Bergen city. You'll see the villages of Stamnes, Eidsland, Modalen along the way. Just before Eidsland, at about 23:00, a single lane, low tunnel is a worthwhile sight. When this stretch of the road opened in 1939, it was Norway's most expensive road.
