The Heritage Club - Tripura Castle is a stunning hilltop retreat in Shillong, once the summer residence of Tripura’s royal family. This historic property houses 38 elegant rooms, including antique-furnished suites and charming wooden cottages. We stayed in the Royal Apartment, which has a spacious bedroom, a cozy living area, a reading nook, a study table, and a private entrance. Visiting on Christmas Eve made the experience even more magical, as the property was beautifully decorated with lights, live performances, and a bonfire.

With multiple restaurants, guests can indulge in a diverse culinary experience, enjoying Indian, Chinese, American, Asian, European, Continental, and traditional Khasi cuisine.

Surrounded by lush pine forests, the castle offers breathtaking views of Shillong’s rolling hills, making it a perfect blend of history, luxury, and natural beauty.
