SWAT Team Rural Zone and Loni Border Police successfully uncover a robbery case, 06 accused arrested, a total of Rs. 67500/- in cash looted, 02 sticks used in the incident, and 02 motorcycles, a Pulsar (registration no. UP16 FH8352) and a TVS Sports (registration no. UP14DZ3820), recovered from their possession.
On January 18, 2026, the complainant, Mr. Vikas Singh, son of Kesari Singh, resident of F-4/13 Dayalpur, Delhi, filed a written complaint stating that on January 16, 2025, his father, Mr. Kesari Singh, who runs a shop named Gange Marbles near Lalbagh Vegetable Market, was going home with his servant Ravi on his scooter (number DL-9SC-9658) at around 8:00 PM. Just 50 meters from the shop, some boys on a motorcycle attacked his father and the servant, hitting them on the head, causing them and the scooter to fall. The attackers then snatched the bag from his father and fled after turning left at Anuj Dharmkanta. His father and the servant sustained head injuries, and the unknown motorcycle riders stole the bag containing approximately two to three lakh rupees. Based on the complaint, a case was immediately registered under relevant sections 115(2)/309(4) BNS against unknown motorcycle riders, and police teams were formed for the successful investigation of the incident. Subsequently, today, January 22, 2026, the SWAT team of the Rural Zone and the Loni Border Police Station successfully solved the above incident and arrested six accused involved in the incident: 1. Aman Gurjar son of Dharmaraj, resident of near Mukhiya Gate, Bagh Ranap, Loni town, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad, 2. Monu Gupta son of Anil Gupta, resident of Brihaspati Bazar, New Vikas Nagar, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad district, 3. Wasim son of Jameel, resident of Fakarpur village, Khekra Police Station, Baghpat district, currently residing at New Vikas Nagar, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad district, 4. Harsh son of Bablu, resident of Lane No. 2, near Diamond School, Loni town, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad, 5. Faisal alias Faiz son of Yusuf Khan, resident of near Ambedkar School, Bagh Ranap, Ward No. 4, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad district, 6. Mayank son of Arvind, resident of Lane No. 4, New Vikas Nagar, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad district. A total of Rs. 67,500/- (sixty-seven thousand five hundred rupees) in cash, two sticks used in the incident, and two motorcycles, a Pulsar (registration number UP16 FH8352) and a TVS Sports (registration number UP14DZ3820), were recovered from their possession. Based on the arrests and recoveries, the investigation of the above case is ongoing under sections 310(2), 317(3), and 115(2) of the BNS. During the arrest of the accused, their three other accomplices escaped from the spot on a third motorcycle taking advantage of the darkness, and efforts are being made to apprehend them.
Details of Interrogation:
During interrogation, the accused confessed that on January 16, 2026, they had jointly snatched a bag of money from two persons riding a scooter near Lalbagh Mandi on Karawal Nagar Road, after assaulting them with sticks. They were going to divide the looted money today. We had hidden the stolen money in a white plastic bag under some garbage in the bushes of a thorny acacia tree. When asked the reason for hiding the money, they said that they had injured the people on the scooter with sticks, causing them to fall and sustain serious injuries, which frightened them. They hid the money out of fear, planning to divide it among themselves once the situation calmed down. They all confessed to having jointly committed the robbery on January 16, 2026, near Lalbagh Mandi, where they attacked the owner of Gange Marbles and his servant, who were on a scooter, with sticks and stole a bag containing money. 6. Mayank, son of Arvind, resident of Lane No. 4, New Vikas Nagar, Loni Police Station, Ghaziabad district, age approximately 22 years.
