This is the 10th road trip video in the series, taken during the covid-19 pandemic, on the 8th of August 2020. Restrictions were partly suspended to allow for people in Ireland to go on staycations while travellers from other countries were not allowed in without a two-week quarantine. This meant quiet roads and towns. (We had actually never seen it this quiet in summertime.)
If possible, please watch at the highest 4K definition (2160p), for a better quality video experience, even when you don't have a 4K screen. 1440p also gives a good picture on bigger screens while 1080p and 720p will probably be fine on smaller screens. (Some devices won't let you go higher than 1080p).
This video starts in Dingle town. From there we take the road to the Slea Head Drive. The route we drive is the advised driving direction. Because of covid-19 there were no tour buses/coaches. In normal tourist seasons they drive this route (in this direction) also. It is very narrow and twisty around Slea head. That’s why they have an advised driving direction. It prevents awkward traffic situations and accidents.
After a few stops to admire the views, we skip filming part of the journey and continue filming just after Dingle on the way back. This video is just over an hour long. Enjoy.
