How To Find Morel Mushrooms - Catch and Cook. My first catch and cook video, and with a new camera. We are out in the south east side of Mount Hood in Oregon, searching for Spring Morel mushrooms. We found some shooms, and other amazing things along the way. I also share some safety tips, and how and where to find these elusive mushrooms.
We also bring the mushrooms home and show how to clean, cut and prepare them in a simple and easy recipe. They are so delicious.
Video update: In the video I found a deer skeleton and mentioned I was going to take it home. After I examined the skull, I realized it was stinky as hell and decided to leave it in the woods, rather than stink up my truck. Also, upon further investigation, I later learned that removing these things is illegal, so it's a good thing I left it behind. I should have known the rules. Now I do.
