Karachi’s public transportation landscape has received a significant upgrade when former Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Karachi in December 2021. This state-of-the-art mass transit system promises to transform the city’s commuting experience. Launched in early 2022, the first phase of this remarkable project encompasses a 21-kilometer route and boasts 22 conveniently located stations.
The Green Line BRT’s primary goal is to accommodate approximately 135,000 passengers daily, making urban commuting more convenient than ever before. Buses arrive at stations every 10 minutes, ensuring minimal waiting times for passengers. This frequent and reliable service is a game-changer for Karachi’s daily commuters.
