Steak & Potatoes
Ingredients
2 large russet potatoes, small diced
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 1/2 lbs steak (I used flap steak)
1 onion, sliced
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place potatoes onto a baking sheet. Season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Drizzle with oil and mix to combine.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Season steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a pan over medium high and cook steak in 2 batches. Sear on both sides (for for flap steak about 2-3 minutes per side, depending on the thickness). Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thin against the grain.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan. Once butter has melted, add onions and garlic. Season with salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add sliced steak, soy sauce, Worcester sauce and the last tablespoon of butter. Stir to combine and remove from heat.
Stir in cooked potatoes and season with more salt and pepper if desired.
