RACE AROUND RWANDA 2026: Journey through the land of a thousand hills

Описание: The Race Around Rwanda is an ultra distance bikepacking race in the hills of Rwanda. The race covers 1000 km and over 18 500 meters of elevation, often at high altitude with about 25% over 2000 meters of elevation.

I participated the 2026 race as a pair with a wonderful fellow cyclist Vesa Härkönen from Finland. Hence, this is rare video from me where the dialogue is in my native language Finnish with English subtitles for international audience.

Finishing the race took every inch of both physical strength and willpower from both of us. Through the race, Vesa struggled with mechanicals including countless flats, broken Tailfin, messed up rear derailleur and an extremely dirty bike!

Regardless of it all, we kept the spirits high, energy low and cameras rolling.
