My name is Ashley Trautwein. I'm a nurse practitioner at Norton Cancer Institute. When you come see me for the first time newly diagnosed with cancer, me as your provider, I want us to establish a trusting relationship as we navigate your new diagnosis together and work together to find the best treatment possible to allow a quality of life for you. And also, I'm going to be there to support not only you, but your family as well. I know that a new cancer diagnosis, it's very scary and it's not a death sentence anymore. And as your provider, I promise to find the best treatment there is and work together, again, to provide the best quality of life.

I'm from Louisville Kentucky and I received my family nurse practitioner degree from Northern Kentucky University. I graduated in 2021. For fun, I love to spend time with my husband and my children. We like to travel to different places and any new city that we go to, we like to find a zoo because my children are obsessed with animals. So any new city we go to, we have to find a zoo and visit that place.

Ashley R. Trautwein, APRN, MSN,FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Cancer Institute. Ashley master’s degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights.

Ashley’s care philosophy is to create a relationship with her patients and work with them to provide guidance throughout their personalized journeys.

For fun, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
