This is a trefoil I created as a blacksmithing exercise. It was created from a single bar of 10 mm square mild steel bar. Folded onto itself and forge welded. It was created to the scale of the drawing that was made before hand.
The trefoil is a shape heavy used in Gothic architecture and mainly seen in the tracery of the gothic, stained glass, church windows. This is where I drew my inspiration. I hope to copy more of these iconic shapes in the future.
