MOMENTS IN TIME (2025) V2

Описание: Lots of memorable moments during the 2025 XC season. For me, it has to be more than the performance, it needs to look epic either in the perspective angle, background or in the quality of the light.
0:01 - the SeaView League boys left this Easter egg in one of my unattended cameras. In my days, I would be seeing "moons" . Good thing there were no moons that day.
00:14 - Summer reached out to me a few days prior to the race so I figured she had something cooked up. She did not disappoint. My recollection was "she's going out really hard ... can she sustain this" to "she's going to make the boys look slow".
0:26 - the two Redondo underclassmen were not only fast ... they looked like Oakley sunglass models for a photo shoot.
0:36 - I didn't realize how beautiful the light was in Central Valley during the golden hour (5-630pm). And that park was majestic with these huge oak trees. This looked beautiful so I had to include them. BTW - the Habit Burgers in Visalia serves the best burgers in the State.
1:09 - This was epic with the side angle shot. I'm a sucker for epic shots.
1:20 - if I had blinked I would have never seen this on my video monitor. The hands reaching out in time and space reminded me of that painting on the Sistine Chapel's ceiling.
1:25 - This record breaking run by Jackson Spencer was yet another epic shot. It was difficult because I had to jump the curb going full speed towards the right side of the finish chute. On day 1, I had snapped the camera support rod in half (dumping the camera rig on to the grass) by jumping the exact same curb at the same spot. Jumping up on this curb with Jackson in full flight for day 2, I was worried that the support rod would break again.
1:35 - I saw this on my video monitor as we climbed Killer Hill and the clouds parted drenching the land in this beautiful golden light.
1:52 - coming down the hill is always epic with the sun flickering through the trees. This was hard to maintain focus as I'm riding down hill while playing with the joystick to bring the camera at the right angle. This was one time where I got it right.
2:17 - this one is epic with light and shadows from the setting sun. You can see the gnats or flutter fly backlit by the sun here.
2:35 - this one is something I have never seen on any course where the runners are in full sprint over a winding wooden bridge. At full speed (15-18 mph) on the bridge which has a curve, it was very difficult to control the camera to stay focus on the runners especially with the bike pogoing over the wooden slats. Over multiple races I would lose focus but not this one time.
2:46 - This one is epic with Braelyn looking like a Nordic warrior on the warpath.
3:15 - This one looks like a JSerra recruiting video (sponsored by Oakley?).
3:26 - A cool camera angle with Oliver looking like he's out for a tempo run.
3:35 - This Century runner looks like she's skimming across the ground. Note the soft light contrasting with the dark cloud in the background.
3:44 - This is my favorite. Check out the soft light contrasting with the clouds in the background. Note the camera slowly panning to the right, catching Maximo in full command of the race.

And of course, it has to be the music that sets the tone. Christophe Goze:    • Christophe Goze - I will always love you
