From Italy to France, with a clear mission and the perfect aircraft. 🇫🇷✈️
In this video, we take you behind the scenes of an extraordinary project: one of our Dutch customers chose the Groppo Trail to film the Tour de France from above — the world's most iconic cycling race — by installing a neutral wireless antenna directly on the aircraft to capture professional-quality aerial footage.
But before taking off towards the French skies, the journey started right here — at our production facility in Italy — where our customer visited the factory, met the team, and experienced firsthand the craftsmanship and engineering precision that go into every Trail we build.
A visit that says a lot about who we are: a company that doesn't just sell an aircraft, but builds a lasting relationship with every pilot — supporting them from the choice of the aircraft all the way through to its most specific configuration.
The Groppo Trail once again proved to be far more than a light aircraft: thanks to its structural versatility, excellent performance and its customisation, it turned out to be the perfect platform for a demanding professional use case like aerial filming over a fast-moving, complex event such as the Tour de France.
