CARTAGENA COLOMBIA TRANSCARIBE HOW TO GO FROM TERMINAL DE TRANSPORTES TO BACKPACKERS ZONES BY BUS.

When you arrive to Cartagena by bus from other place of Colombia your last stop will be at the terminal de transportes (bus terminal) where most of the buses arrive and also leave the city to nearby towns, the Caribbean coastal region and to all of the Colombian geography.

This is the route from the terminal to the touristical zones of Cartagena de Indias, but you can also ride this route to go to the terminal de transportes from any of the stations of the Transcaribe public bus transportation system. The circular route we will take is X-104 and starts either at the station "La Bodeguita" or at the bus stop you will see in this video at the Terminal de Transportes de Cartagena. It is a circular route that operates from 5:30 AM till 8:30 PM everyday.
The cost of the bus fare is $2.600 pesos. You should have a Transcaribe card to get into the bus. These cards are available at the Transcaribe stations.
The bus terminal we are showing in the video you are about to watch is where many backpackers that come by land in intermunicipal buses arrive to Cartagena after travelling by the roads of Colombia. The route will take us by not the most touristy places or very wealthy neighborhoods that are known as the barrios (the hoods). This is where real Cartagena and cartageneros live with their families. Sometimes it feels like it is another city behind the glam of the five star hotels and gourmet restaurants.
