The Anti-Corruption Court has granted bail to City businessman Hassan Basajabalaba on grounds that there was no evidence presented to show that he would jump bail. The decision sent hundreds of Basajabalaba's supporters wild with excitement. Basajabalaba spent two nights in Luzira prison and is facing trial for the alleged forgery of a document which led to the irregular payment of 142 billion shillings.
