Fremantle Station once had a canopy roof across to platform 1 track, offering more weather protection for waiting train passengers. With an underground pedestrian subway access.
Nowadays, the old charm character station building when steam hauled suburban passenger trains once operated, remains to this day
No steel cages, where bicycles are locked away stored in racks, like most of Transperth's modern train stations.
But bikes simply locked away upon bar frames on this spacious platform 2 area. Safely out of harms way.

The title description mentions this train is heading to Perth and Bassendean and not Midland.
it's the second day of the Midland Line Shutdown for one month, with Train Replacement bus services running between Bassendean and Midland.
