My Exotic Garden Project 2025 Ep.5 - Planting Hardy Palms (Jubaea & Hybrids!)

Описание: In today's video I start planting my new raised bed garden project with some tough and beautiful hardy palms! Featuring a Jubaea chilensis Chilean wine palm I’ve grown from seed, some exciting Trachycarpus windmill palm hybrids and rare varieties (including fortunei x martianus!) I’ve been growing on in pots - the basic but bold exotic structure will hopefully bring a real touch of warmer climates to our family garden. Drought resistant once established, easy to grow, low maintenance and perfect for a full sun south-facing border, I discuss how to plant hardy palms in the U.K., when to plant palms and other hardy exotic plants plus tips to help these lovely tropical style specimen plants settle in. It’s exciting to see this mini spring raised bed project coming together!
