A few weeks ago I headed south of Canberra down to Cooma to check out Mt Gladstone MTB park. I'd heard good things from multiple people.
I've often driven past here on the way to Thredbo wondering if it was worth a look. Let's just say I'll be back.
The dirt and rocks on Mt Gladstone really remind me of Canberra. The rocks are sharp boulders spaced just far enough apart you can't skip over them. Really easy to get hung up.. and the dirt. Well the gravel is gravel. The grip is there but you have to slide through 1cm of dust to find it. This place would be EPIC after a few mm of rain.
Most of the trails feature jumps and berms. There are tech jumps (into and out of corners), gap jumps (over roads and creeks) and big jumps. Basically if you like jumps, you will have fun here.
