Women’s 50+ Heat 1 | Lowcountry Paddlefest 2025, HIlton Head

Описание: This was Heat 1 of the Women’s 50+ technical race at the 2025 Lowcountry Paddlefest in Hilton Head. The start was tricky with the shore break rolling in, but I managed to keep it clean off the line and around the first buoy.

From there, it was all about staying steady, keeping my paddle vertical, and hitting clean crossbow turns. Lori was right behind me, working bumps and pushing hard, and Tricia kept fighting through the surf with her usual energy.

I stayed upright through the “rubber mallet buoy” and had a clean run all the way to the finish. Super proud of this race — it was about focus, technique, and letting the ocean work with me instead of against me.

Unfortunately, there is no drone footage of the final, but I won that, too, with an outgoing tide and a sneaky sandbar at the rubber mallet buoy.
