Torsk med äggsås - Gratäng :)
Cod with mash and bechamel egg and shrimp sauce - Served as a gratinated dish
You need
750 gr (25 or so ounces) of cod
10 medium sized potatoes
125 gram, (1 stick) butter
3 tbs flour
1 tbs black pepper
2 tsp salt
2 tsp nutmeg
5 dl (2 cups) half/half cream
7 eggs
2,5 dl (1 cup) of grated cheese
2,5 dl (1 cup) of shrimp
Do like this
Boil the eggs hard
Peel and slice them
Boil the potatoes tender - mash with 2 tbs butter and a little milk to a pliable consistency
Boil the fish in a little water (1/4 inch) and salt until its turns white and falls apart when you pull with two forks
The sauce:
Melt the butter (90 gr, 3/4 stick) add the flour stir all the time
Add the cream stir and boil for 3-4 minutes
Add the cheese and let it melt in the sauce
Put to the side
Build in a casseroledish
Fish in the middle, potato along the sides
Layer with eggs and shrimp
Cover with the sauce
Finish in the oven 200C (390F) for 25 minutes.
Serve with some vegetables, eg brusselsprouts
