I dreamed of a sunset fading into the night sky all in one painting. The view from Buck Mountain on Lake George portrays the western shore Bolton Landing portion of the lake, including Dome Island, Green Island, Montcalm Point (the tip of Tongue Mountain) and the southern end of the Narrows. I wanted this painting to be bold and colorful, representing the feeling of reaching the summit on a beautiful summer day.
Canvas size: 24 x 48”
Materials used: kiln-dried stretcher bars, triple primed canvas with acid-free gesso, acrylic paint, a much needed fan for the new summer heat, soon to be varnished!
