Aquasacaping Lab by Tommaso Perini feat Serena Sacchi presents a video tutorial on the description and technical fish of Xiphophorus helleri commonly called Swordtails or Xipho.
Fish origins of Central America by Poeciliidae family is widely used in home aquarums to its nature very peaceful. Featuring a tapered body with elongated tail fin-shaped sword in males and smaller females are ovoviviparous animals and then give birth to live fry. Omnivorous in nature, not very colorful but for our aquariums have been selected as various species:
Gold: body yellow-orange, red-tailed black with lower margin. Gold comet: Golden body, tail edge with blacks. Red wag: orange body, fins and mouth black. Red: red body, white throat and belly. Pineapple: beige body mottled red with green-blue, red fins. Black calico: black body with green-blue, back and abdomen beige, white fins

Pesce di origini dell America centrale dalla famiglia dei Poeciliidae è molto usato negli acquari domestici per la sua indole molto pacifica. Caratterizzato da un corpo affusolato con pinna caudale allungata a forma di spada nei maschi e più piccola nelle femmine sono animali ovovivipari e quindi partoriscono avannotti vivi. In natura onnivoro, non molto colorato ma per i nostri acquari sono state selezionate varie specie come:
Gold: corpo giallo-arancio, coda rossa con margine inferiore nero. Gold comet: corpo dorato, coda con margini neri. Red wag: corpo arancione, pinne e bocca nere. Rosso: corpo rosso, gola e ventre bianchi. Ananas: corpo beige screziato di rosso con riflessi verde-azzurri, pinne rosse. Black calico: corpo nero con riflessi verde-azzurri, dorso e ventre beige, pinne bianche
