Lampa Sessions, Season 2 is produced by Lampa Collective with the financial support of National Culture Fund, Bulgaria, through the “Creation” program and showcases new artists every month between February and April 2025. The conceptual music series aims to promote Bulgarian experimental artists and their music.
For SMYAH, music is an intuitive and transformative process—one that allows him to navigate emotions, memories, and creative impulses freely. His sound is deeply immersive, drawing inspiration from electronic experimentation, ambient textures, and intricate rhythmic patterns. Whether working with modular synthesis, organic instruments, or digital manipulation, he creates soundscapes that are both intimate and expansive.

Yavor Zografski has been producing music for over 15 years, focusing in recent years on composing for visual media. His work includes the soundtrack for an upcoming American feature film, as well as music for global brands like Puma and Adidas. As the founder of Sound in Picture, an international platform connecting musicians with photographers, and an instructor at Sound Ninja Academy, SMYAH continues to explore the synergy between sound and visuals while pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

In his Lampa Sessions interview, SMYAH shares insights into his creative philosophy, the importance of spontaneity in live performance, and his approach to structuring a set that feels organic yet meticulously curated. We meet, see, and hear interesting names from the current Bulgarian music scene, who boldly experiment with different sounds and traditional instruments, synthesizers, and loop machines, from calm ambient sound to "cheeky" breakbeat.
Each session under the light of the "Lamps" promises to bring a spotlight on artists with unconventional approaches to music. The interviews with the musicians complement and give more context to their performances in the Lampa Sessions.
