TRIGAIDA’s sound is a contemporary fusion: traditional Bulgarian folk vocals and instrumental motifs interwoven with rich electronic production. Their music bridges the old and the new — blending ancestral roots with modern sound design in a way that feels both authentic and current.

This Lampa Session is a special one — it features a live performance made up entirely of tracks from TRIGAIDA’s brand new album, “Polet”. The session offers an early and intimate look into the band’s latest work, presented in a stripped-down, atmospheric setting that highlights the emotional core of the music.

TRIGAIDA’s debut album, ELATE, introduced their signature style: folklore reimagined through genres like drum & bass, dubstep, trip-hop, neoclassical, and jazz. “Polet” continues that journey, but with a more spacious and refined sound — offering new moods and a deeper sense of flow while staying true to their roots.

The band is formed by three well-established Bulgarian musicians:
Asya Pincheva – vocals. Known for her work with Oratnitza and the Cosmic Voices of Bulgaria, Asya brings both power and nuance to the band’s vocal identity.

Ivan Shopov – electronics and production. Also known as Balkansky and COOH, Ivan has long been a key figure in Bulgaria’s electronic and experimental music scenes.

Georgi Marinov (Horhe) – playing the kaba gaida (Bulgarian bagpipe) and didgeridoo, Georgi adds a strong traditional and acoustic layer to TRIGAIDA’s sound palette.

In this performance, you’ll hear how these elements come together. Asya’s voice moves between delicate ornamentation and raw expression. Ivan’s electronics create a textured and immersive environment. Georgi’s instruments add depth and grounding. The result is subtle, emotional, and transportive — a performance that reflects TRIGAIDA’s evolving vision and the richness of their shared musical heritage.

Lampa Sessions is produced by Lampa Collective and will showcase new artists every month.

Lampa Sessions is an original Lampa Collective concept project that presents the creativity and inspiration of experimental Bulgarian musical artists through video interviews and music sessions specially prepared for the series! We follow the series on Lampa Collective's YouTube channel:    / @lampacollective  , and short videos can also be found on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

We meet, see and hear interesting names from the current music scene, who boldly experiment with electronic sound and traditional instruments, synthesizers and loop machines, from calm ambient sound to "cheeky" breakbeat.

Each session under the light of the "Lamp" promises to bring a spotlight on artists with unconventional approaches to music. The planned interviews with the musicians complement and give more context to their performances in the Lampa sessions.
