PHIX and ficonTEC have initiated a long-term collaboration for high-volume chip-to-chip manufacturing for integrated photonics. The first machine system delivered to PHIX this July features a dual alignment process for bonding light sources to photonic integrated circuits. With this initial and subsequent systems, PHIX intends to extend their process development capability as well as scale up their hybrid integration production capacity to higher volumes.
