Driving From Mariposa To Oakhurst, CA | CA-49 South On The Golden Chain Highway | 4K Scenic Drive

Описание: Hello everyone, and welcome back to another video. Today, we will be driving from Mariposa, CA to Oakhurst, CA, while traveling along CA-49 South, which is known as the Golden Chain Highway! CA-49 is a scenic north-south highway that runs within the Sierra Nevada foothills from its beginning in Oakhurst, to its northern terminus at CA-70 in Vinton, for a total of 295 miles. In this video, we begin the drive in Mariposa, a small town of 1000 people that has history dating back to the gold-rush era, and is known as the "Gateway To Yosemite". We end the drive at Oakhurst, which is the largest community in Madera County and also known to be the southern terminus for the Golden Chain Highway, as well as for California's Gold Rush Country. Along the drive, you'll also get to spot some of the tallest mountain peaks within the proximity of the highway, such as Devil Peak and Raymond Mountain, at nearly 7000 and 8500 feet high, respectively!
