HEY GUYS! What's up, it's me Katherine Steele, here with another episode of TheatreThursday! Today, we're dealing with a very tricky topic: How to convince your parents to let you be an actor. This was a heavily requested topic, and something that I'm very passionate about (as you'll see in the video, lol). If this is something that you're currently going through, I'm so sorry.

In today's video, I'm going to share all of my negotiation tips, tricks, and ideas on how to convince your parents to let you be an actor! In general, the main idea is to use open communication to understand what their fear is and to find a compromise. Like I mentioned above, this video is meant to be an outline to give you ideas on how to create your negotiation strategy. It's natural for parents to fear the entertainment industry -- which often results in kids not getting a chance to start an acting career. If this is something that you truly love and want to try, it might be time to sit down with your parents and lay it all out on the line. Be confident, be concise, and be cool!
