Not sure if I mentioned this in the vid, but my #1 tip for doing headshot makeup: test out your makeup a few days before and snap some pics (phone camera is totally fine for this!). Makeup tends to look differently in real life than on camera!! So make sure it's camera ready with a quick selfie test!💄💋

Headshots are a crucial tool for every actor, and it's important that your headshot really represent who you are! Some actors opt to hire makeup artists for their headshot sessions--but having the option to do your own makeup is super valuable! Wanna know why? Two main reasons:
1) you should be able to replicate that makeup look on an everyday basis. Casting directors expect to see the person on the headshot, and if it doesn't look like you...well let's just say you're in deep deep 💩
2) SAVE SOME MONEY! 🤑 because yay money!
Also, a lot of people have their awesome photographer friends (aka not professional headshot photographers but still super great) take their headshots. This is a great option, especially if you're a student actor or maybe not performing professionally yet. If this is the case, then there's a 99.9% you'll definitely be doing your own makeup.
