Raggiungo in moto la Diga del Molato ed il Lago di Trebecco in Val Tidone (PC)

Описание: La Val Tidone si estende tra due gruppi di alture al confine tra le Regioni Lombardia ed Emilia Romagna,in provincia di Piacenza. La vallata è caratterizzata dalla presenza di numerosi corsi d’acqua, tra cui spicca, per dimensioni ed estensione, il Torrente Tidone, affluente destro del Po. Esso nasce a 900 m sul mare, sull’Appennino Piacentino-Pavese sul versante settentrionale della Sella del Penice. Essendo la Val Tidone un’area geografica rimasta con spiccata caratteri agricoli e silvestri, scarsamente antropizzata già nei primi decenni del XX° secolo si era resa manifesta l’idea di realizzare un sistema di raccolta e regolazione delle acque nella Val Tidone per migliorare l’irrigazione a scopi agricoli
La Diga del Molato fa da sbarramento al torrente Tidone stesso, dando luogo al bacino noto come Lago di Trebecco. Tutta l’opera è stata condotta in modo grandioso, attraverso un sincretismo ingegneristico-storico-geografico di molteplici aspetti soprattutto tecnici. La Diga del Molato è frutto del particolarissimo momento storico in cui è sorta, quello del Fascismo e della prima modernizzazione, caratterizzata dallo sviluppo delle grandi costruzioni e delle infrastrutture nella Penisola. E’ una diga a gravità alleggerita, caratterizzata dalla presenza di imponenti speroni, tra i quali si sviluppano, e nei quali si impostano, voltine a tutta altezza atte a supportare la spinta dell’acqua. La facciata verso valle, caratterizzata da una sequenza di immensi vuoti, interrotti da archi in successione, risulta così altamente monumentale, ma mai eccessiva; la Diga anzi, si inserisce nel contesto vallivo con grande armonia e naturalezza, quasi fosse un’appendice spontanea delle cime appenniniche che la ospitano.
I lavori per la realizzazione della Diga terminarono nel 1928, anno in cui l’opera venne inaugurata e messa in funzione, con la partecipazione dell’allora Capo del Governo, Benito Mussolini.
Grazie all’emanazione della Legge Mussolini, iniziò un periodo di grande crescita per il settore dei sistemi infrastrutturali nelle zone agricole. In particolare, riscosse grande fortuna la realizzazione delle opere di sbarramento fluviale: esse infatti, permettevano contemporaneamente l’approvvigionamento idrico delle zone agricole e la produzione di energia elettrica, utile soprattutto nello sviluppo del settore industriale.

The Tidone Valley extends between two groups of hills on the border between the regions of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna, in the province of Piacenza. The valley is characterized by the presence of numerous watercourses, among which the Tidone Torrent, a right tributary of the Po, stands out for its size and extension. It rises at 900 m above sea level, on the Piacenza-Pavia Apennines on the northern side of the Sella del Penice. Since the Tidone Valley is a geographical area that has remained with strong agricultural and woodland characteristics, scarcely anthropized, already in the first decades of the 20th century the idea of creating a system for collecting and regulating water in the Tidone Valley to improve irrigation for agricultural purposes had become clear. The Molato Dam acts as a barrier to the Tidone torrent itself, giving rise to the basin known as Lake Trebecco. The entire work was conducted in a grandiose way, through an engineering-historical-geographical syncretism of multiple aspects, especially technical ones. The Molato Dam is the result of the very particular historical moment in which it was built, that of Fascism and the first modernization, characterized by the development of large constructions and infrastructures on the Peninsula. It is a lightened gravity dam, characterized by the presence of imposing spurs, between which develop, and in which are set, full-height vaults designed to support the thrust of the water. The façade towards the valley, characterized by a sequence of immense voids, interrupted by successive arches, is thus highly monumental, but never excessive; the Dam, in fact, fits into the valley context with great harmony and naturalness, almost as if it were a spontaneous appendage of the Apennine peaks that host it.
The works for the construction of the Dam ended in 1928, the year in which the work was inaugurated and put into operation, with the participation of the then Head of Government, Benito Mussolini.
Thanks to the issuing of the Mussolini Law, a period of great growth began for the sector of infrastructure systems in agricultural areas. In particular, the construction of river dams was very successful: in fact, they simultaneously allowed the water supply of agricultural areas and the production of electrical energy, which was especially useful in the development of the industrial sector.
