today we’re finally diving into Architects with our first ever reaction to Broken Mirror. this is a band that has been heavily requested for a long time and somehow always lived in our playlists without us really paying attention, so we decided it was time to actually sit down and give them a fair listen.

going into this Architects reaction, we genuinely had no idea what to expect. we assumed something closer to metalcore or modern heavy music, but broken mirror surprised us with a much more melodic and mainstream sound than we anticipated. there were moments we really connected with, especially when the song shifted gears, but overall this one challenged our expectations in a way we didn’t quite see coming.

we also spent a lot of time talking about the music video itself, which was super detailed and cinematic but honestly left us a little confused. considering the song came out over a year before the video, it raised some interesting questions about the story and the band’s vision.

this Architects broken mirror reaction is us being completely honest about how the song landed for us, expectations and all. we’re definitely open to checking out more from Architects, so if there’s a better entry point or a track you think fits our taste more, let us know in the comments. we’re always down to be proven wrong.
