In this video i will be focusing on the beautiful country of the Philippines. The Philippines is one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet with plenty of endemic animals such as the Philippine eagle and the Philippine freshwater crocodile. A lot of the endemic species in the Philippines are actually endangered or critically endangered so it is important that we protect these vulnerable species. Like most other highly populated areas, the Philippines is also home to some invasive species. In this video i will be going through just a few of these creatures as I will be going through 5 problem invasive species in the Philippines.

For our first problem invasive species we will be travelling to the freshwaters of china as we have the Chinese softshell turtle. The Chinese softshell turtle is both invasive and endangered. the Chinese softshell turtle is rare in the wild but is commonly farmed.
For our next problem invasive species we will be heading to the freshwaters of central and south America as we have the guppy. The guppy is a very popular aquarium fish but it was introduced into the Philippines the control the harmful mosquito populations.
For our next problem invasive species we will b heading the Eurasia as we have the Eurasian tree sparrow. The Eurasian tree sparrow was introduced into the Philippines by Spanish colonizers and has been in the Philippines for hundreds of years.
For our next invasive species we will be heading to the freshwaters of central America as we have the jaguar cichlid. The jaguar cichlid is a medium sized predatory fish that was thought to have found it's way into Philippine waters through the pet trade.
For our final invasive creature we will be heading to west Africa as we have the yellow crazy ant. The yellow crazy ant is a very destructive ant species.
