5 Problem Invasive Species In Mexico

Описание: In this video i will be focusing on the beautiful country of Mexico. Mexico is home to 10-12% of the worlds biodiversity with many unique animals such as ocelots and jaguars living there. As Mexico is such a biodiverse country it is important that we protect it's many ecosystems. Like many other large countries around the world, Mexico also has some problem invasive species. I will be going through just a few of these problem species today as i will be going though 5 problem invasive species in Mexico.

I have edited and adapted some of these clips and images.

For our first invasive species we will be heading to south east Asia as we have the common house gecko. The common house gecko competes with native lizards and infests peoples homes.

For our next invasive species we will be heading to south America as we have the monk parakeet. The monk parakeet has feral populations across the world and adapts to urban environments.

For our next invasive species we will be heading to the indo-pacific as we have the lionfish. Lionfish are one of the most famous invasive fish as they can decimate small reef fish populations.

For our next invasive species we will be travelling to India as we have the house mouse. The house mouse is one of the most successful invasive species and can now be found across the globe.

For our final invasive species we will be travelling to Cuba as we have the greenhouse frog. The greenhouse frog is a tiny species of frog and often goes unnoticed until their populations are out of control.
