Retired surveyor and member of the Lewiston Historical Society, Ken Slaughenhapt, shares his knowledge of surveying and the extensive process that had to be undertaken by Joseph Ellicott and his crews to complete the survey of the Holland Purchase from 1797 to 1800. He also shares the process that was undertaken to recover any remaining markers left of the original survey.
