European Petrophysics Consortium
The European Petrophysics Consortium (EPC)
The EPC comprises three European universities: the University of Leicester (UK); the University of Montpellier (France); and RWTH Aachen University (Germany). Together the EPC provides high-level scientific and technical support to the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) and the European Consortium for Ocean Research Drilling (ECORD) and is responsible for the acquisition and interpretation of downhole logging and core petrophysical data, as well as data calibration and quality control. The Consortium is is part of the wider International Scientific Logging Consortium including the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and the University of Tokyo, who collaborate on research and operational matters.
This channel features some of our operational activities on various ocean drilling research projects.
