Maryam Raeesdana, writer, poet, and translator, has been active in literature and journalism for the past two decades. Examples of her works can be referred to the translation of The Prince and The Pauper by Mark Twain from English, an excerpt from Jacques Prevert's poems from French to the Persian language, as well as a collection of her short stories called The Passage and a book of her poems called The Assourik Shadow. Maryam was born in Iran and currently lives in California.
