Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) must restructure to meet new security challenges. He added that the move is necessary for the SAF to stay relevant, responsive and effective for the country's defence. Dr Ng also highlighted that regional collaboration is also needed for two key challenges -- terrorism and maritime threats.
