I drive the route I'm planning on doing for my standards check. Your route should be flexible as the aim of the lesson might change, despite the examiner I had insisting you should never change the plan no matter what. That goes against the guidance issued in ADI1 and common sense.
This video starts a bit abruptly because I cut the original start out. I wasn't talking when a car signalled and didn't turn, causing another car to pull out in front of it. I left it out because the silence was about 10 seconds long and I thought people may not watch thinking there wasn't going to be any talking or that it wasn't working properly.
I was quite ill at this stage as you may be able to tell in the video. I didn't know that yet. It was only a month after taking my standards check that I found out I'd had an infection that had caused breathing problems and it all (probably) came from breathing in germs from a fridge that was in my new home.
