Описание: This is the fastest run I've gotten so far although it's not my cleanest.
Getting as many aerial-flinches as possible, as opposed to ground-flinches, is the key when fighting a Rathalos or a Rathian. If you can shoot them down as soon as they go airborne, you're golden!

I have a bit more interesting run in which I mixed in some RF Sticky 2's to prevent Rath from taking flight when he gets angry towards the end. That ran lasted for 3:39. I'll probably upload it one day. For now, please enjoy this run!

Tips for Lightbreak Gunners:

Do not immediately turn left when you come out of the tunnel or Rath will see you right away (unless that's your script). You gotta be one step behind him so that you can clutch onto him without getting yourself spotted.
It's a bit tricky to clutch onto Rathalo's face while jumping off the ledge especially if you get a smol Rath. The trick is to go up till the canon and shoot a dung-pod on the wooden platform to make his head turn your way. That way, his head will be close enough for you to clutch onto.
During his triple-fireballs attack, always dodge to your right (Rath's left side) and be prepared for the follow-up aerial claw attack.
It is recommended to have Attak Incr II and Elem/Status Effect Up I as your weapon's augments because it will take precisely 7 shots to paralyze Rath. BUT, if you don't have Elem/Status Effect Up I, it will sometimes take 8 shots to paralyze him which will result in you getting hit because you thought Rath would already be paralyzed after 7 shots but he wasn't.
You can also try Attak Incr I & Health Regen I as augments if you're planning to run Coalescence. In this case, it is important to get yourself caught on fire as early as possible for maximum dmg output.
Don't forget to re-tenderize Rath's face after about 2+ minutes into the fight. If you get a drool clagger, that's your chance!
If you're feeling fancy, you can work some cheese into the fight. Shoot a volley of RF Sticky 2 in his head early in the fight. Then, as soon as Rath gets angry, roll his roar and quickly shoot 2 Volleys of RF sticky 2 in his face. That will end his angry flight short and you'll get a few free shots in while he's K.O'ed.
Pray to RNGeezus so that a bunch of True Spareshots would proc while Rath is writhing on the ground.
Don't get greedy and know when to stop shooting or you'll get hit.
If all else fail, try telling Silver Rathalos that you have a message from Gold Rathian. That'll calm him down or at least confuse him for a few seconds. Who knows?
