Land
The Double Mile consists of numerous irrigated meadows that are flood irrigated from a gravity fed ditch off of the Strawberry River. The ditchwater, tailwater and the river provide excellent habitat for waterfowl along the valley floor. As the river winds down the valley floor of the Strawberry River Valley it has incredible fishing potential with deep holes along the multiple bends and twists in the river. The pinnacles and cliff banks tower over the valley floor below with the upper benches providing excellent cover for wildlife.

Recreation
Beyond the borders of the ranch, lies a lifetime of exploring and recreational opportunities. From the ranch, hop an ATV/UTV and explore several different areas including the upper Strawberry River below Soldier Creek Dam, Avintaquin Canyon, Red Creek, and Lake Canyon/Lake Canyon Lake. Agriculture
There are approximately 200 acres of irrigated and sub irrigated meadows plus additional areas that could be developed. The water rights on the Double Mile are enough to irrigate 163 acres along with multiple stock water rights. The entire valley floor is either sub-irrigated or irrigated so the grazing potential is very good. The ranch has been leased to the same downstream rancher for years and the taxes have been maintained as greenbelt.

History
In 2018 the Dollar Ridge Fire swept through the upper Strawberry, Timer Canyon and the ridges above. Although the fire did not reach the ranch boundaries, it did have an effect on the fishing. The DWR and other agencies have completed extensive work and planted thousands of fish since then. The fishing is coming back and in the near future the river will once again be a world class blue ribbon fishery. The upper Strawberry is approximately 20 miles from the Soldier Creek Dam to the Strawberry Pinnacles. Below the Strawberry Pinnacles to just above the Starvation Reservoir are private lands with only a few public access locations.
