This beach, also known as Witsands brings kite surfers from around the world with fabulous wind and consistent swells. But it is not for the beginner, the water temperatures are close to 57 degrees Fahrenheit or 14 degrees Celsius- so a thick wetsuit (4/3 or more) is required. The road leading to it is incredibly scenic, passing through the mountains of Cape Point. The wave height is normally 2-5 m and wind speed at 15 to 30 knots, but high season can see extreme waves and wind for the lucky expert riders.
