Basil the resident Turtle is the star of this video. Shot on 2 days in February 2026, at Shelly Beach in Manly, Sydney.
Also featuring a parent and child Flathead duo, a Giant Cuttlefish after a fight (where he appears to have come off second best!), an Eagle Ray, a squid, various other fish including Blue Groupers, Old Wives and a Toad fish.
The Sydney Snorkeling Meetup Group meets at Shelly Beach every Sunday at 11am. Everyone is welcome to come along. We also venture elsewhere including snorkeling with Grey Nurse Sharks which is coming up on March 28th.
