The 4th Edition of the World’s Highest Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon begins today, 24th February 2026, on the breathtaking icy surface of Pangong Lake
A total of 460 runners, including both men and women, are participating in this extraordinary high-altitude challenge — running across the frozen lake in one of the most extreme and beautiful landscapes in the world.
The marathon is organised by Thin Icc Adventure in collaboration with the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council and the Indian Army, with support from Indian Oil Corporation.
The race officially starts at 8:30 AM from Maan Village, marking the beginning of an unforgettable journey of endurance, determination, and adventure on ice.
