Here's a quick little video demonstrating how brilliantly Plex combines with the Chromecast for a quick and easy way to watch TV and movies.
The steps are:
Start Plex app
Cast to Chromecast (it will automatically turn the TV on and switch to the correct HDMI input)
Select video to play
A few taps of the thumb and you're watching a video.
