The last weeks family life and work took the upper hand so I couldn't find time to record a video. Here's a new jam that explores more Ableton + Modular goodness.
** THE PATCH **
So I got my modular hooked up to Ableton Live using the Endorphin.es Shuttle Control module, which turns midi into cv. The main voices (Plaits + Taiko) are sequenced by a max4live euclidean sequencer, which I macro mapped to the Push so I can easily perform it hands on. The four outs from the Intellijel VCA go into my soundcard and into Ableton, where I can tweak them realtime with loads of effects. Again, I mapped these as macro's to the Push, so I can adjust the delays, verb, stutter, filters on the fly. The bass is an Ableton operator synth clip, and the kick as well. The rest of the "percussion" is the 4ms stereo sampler playing some found sounds/drum loops I created a while back. They are mostly to add some human texture to contrast against the synthesised sounds.
