CMPD is investigating the death of a 17-year-old West Charlotte High School student who was shot and killed over the weekend at a Halloween party in northwest Charlotte. The incident was one of at least three shootings overnight across Charlotte.
Family and friends say Amari Cooper was an innocent bystander when the gunfire broke out early Saturday morning on Old Plank Road, close to Brookshire Boulevard.
