This is a tongue-in-cheek study of persons with an extreme interest in all things involving the Railway. A little known term for him is 'Gunzel,' but is more commonly known as a 'Train Buff' or a 'Rail Fan.'
The verses are describing a rail employee alerting fellow colleagues that, 'There's a Gunzel in town!' Hopefully then, the expected onslaught of questions and statements of facts from the Gunzel will at least be tolerated!
More personal detail is provided by the voice-over, who happens to be a friend of the Gunzel, and thereby holds a different perspective than most.
