This LGB Mogul with BlueRail DCC has two decoders, one in the tender for sound (LGB 65001) and one in the loco for motor control (LGB 55021).
Both decoders are powered and controlled by the BlueRail DCC board and are therefore physically connected by the original brown and white track pickup wires.
The BlueRail DCC board is controlled by the BlueRail Trains app running on an iPhone or iPad.
The app allows CV reads and/or write to the decoders. Since only one decoder should have CVs edited at any one time, a switch has been installed under the tender to isolate the LGB 65001 decoder when the LGB 55021 decoder in the loco is being changed.
This switch setup will be useful in many situations where two decoders are controlled by one BlueRail DCC board.
