The battery is rechargeable and last for 2-3 weeks (I usually use it 2-3x per week). It also comes with both short and long attachment arms. The end pieces include regular blender blades, one for frothing, one for meats, and a wire wisk.

There's also five speeds, a battery level indicator and safety switch so you don't accidentally start it and hurt yourself/make a mess!

So that's just the blender piece. Also included are the carrying/storage case, a 2.5 cup food processor container and 4 cup pitcher with a lid. Last there is a scratch protector that clips on to the bottom metal piece so that you don't scratch your non-stick or stainless/copper pans! Key feature!!

Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and it makes my kitchen tasks much more pleasant.

No more large heavy cords dangling around.
No more knocking stuff over on the counter with the cord or dipping the cord in my food.
And even better, a safer cooking experience since I often use the hand blender with open flames!
