Software sales is the fastest path to a six-figure career. I started in software sales right out of college as a sales development representative making $50k per year, 3 years later I’m now an account executive making $160k per year at 26, on track to be making $200k per year start of 2022 once I promote.
The best part about working in software sales is that once you get to an enterprise level, the overage on target earnings is between $250k-$400k at my company, there are even people making over $1M exclusively as a sales rep. The reason this is possible is because software sales business model has high margins, lost cost of reliever, and recurring revenue, selling large deals delivers so much profit to the company they can afford to pay their respects 10%-20% for closed revenue.

Enterprise sales usually involves complex, long-term sales contracts for large-scale corporate software solutions. Since enterprise sales tend to be for an entire company, they tend to be high-dollar-value sales, involving multiple decision-makers. That requires an Enterprise Software Sales Professional to communicate effectively with people at various levels of an organization, who might want different information about a particular product.
